Zara - Yorkie Mix (Female 6 years old) ADOPTED 8/3/24

She has her slow walk and sniffing and then chill on the couch.  Then other times she will chase around the cat and they'll play.  When I call her to see if she should be chewing up some stuff, she'll stop, then walk up and ask for pets.  She's got that wagging tail and look on her face. How can you deny her?!   

 She is so gentle. She's still learning how to trust a bit. She will follow me everywhere I go, but pause before I get too close. But much improvement from her running that first week we got her. 🤣 That tail wag! 

. As she opens up, she'll start to bark when she hears noise. She'll wag her tail when he sees me come home or just giving her praise.  The thing that surprises me is that as a tiny little thing, she loves to chew. Not small fluffy things. Big, nylabone, bully stick chews. We play the "no that's not your toy" game all the time. She starts at corners of play cribs and we say "no". She's shocked. lol  So this weekend finally went to bother chews and she loves them all!! Who knew? 

Getting to enjoy this weather. As Zara learns it does warm up here and the warm dry days are more tolerable.  We did learn what a thunderstorm sounds like....we don't like the loud noise, but not cowering in a corner either.  Just a few pics soaking up the sun in the last few weeks.
